Located above the Old Santa Barbara Mission, Mission Canyon definitely has a more woodsy and rural feel to it. Many of the homes were built in and around the Canyon, with incredible hiking trails all around. Just up from the fire station, Tunnel road leads you to a trailhead, which takes you up Tunnel Trail, or to Inspiration Point, or Seven Falls. Further north off Las Canoas Road is Rattlesnake Trail. I love this trail because it has everything – views, water features, meadows, and geological landmarks. And on your way to and from these renowned hiking trails, you’ll see some amazing properties that enjoy panoramic views of Santa Barbara. Lots of beautiful old growth oak groves abound throughout the landscape of Mission Canyon. So if you’re seeking a more peaceful and rural lifestyle, then come check out Mission Canyon.
